Jordan, 34, has been married ten years to his wife Jennifer, 30. The couple has two daughters, Indiana (age 7) and Danica (age 3), and a baby son, Jackson. They live in Willoughby.
Jordan has lived in Langley for more than 20 years (in Brookswood, Walnut Grove, South Langley, Willoughby and Murrayville). He graduated from Langley Secondary School in 1994.
The Bateman family enjoys playing in various parks around Langley, visiting the libraries, walking around Fort Langley, and taking part in the many family and community activities Langley has to offer. This gives Jordan a unique view of how Township Council plans and decisions affect families.

Jordan has served on Langley Township Council since 2005, and has been the Township's representative on both the Economic Development Commission and the Tourism Langley Board of Directors. As well, he chaired the very successful Langley Olympic Torch Relay Task Force in 2009-2010.
The Bateman family are involved in a number of local causes, including Langley Relay for Life, Youth Unlimited, Adopt-a-Park, and others.
Jordan and Jenny are licenced wedding chaplains and have married more than 150 couples over the past several years. They are also part of the leadership team of Springbrook Church. In 2007, Jordan was named one of Christian Week newspaper's top "35 under 35" young leaders in Canada.
Jordan is a long-time member of Rich Coleman's Fort Langley-Aldergrove BC Liberal riding executive, and currently serves as riding president. He is unaffiliated federally.

Jordan is a trained journalist and writer, having graduated from Langara College's journalism school in 1996.
He has operated his own successful small business since 2002, an editing, writing, and ghostwriting firm called Outlawed Wonderings Media Group. Outlawed has done projects for many charity, music, Internet, political, and religious speakers and groups.
Before starting Outlawed, Jordan worked for six years with the Langley Advance newspaper, covering Township Hall and other political issues. He has also blogged on current events at Langley Politics Dotcom for more than six years.
Jordan's hobbies include tinkering with new technology, swimming, reading, watching NHL hockey and both CFL and NFL football, and following his three kids in their adventures.
