A Fresh Perspective
On November 19, 2005, you, the voters of Langley, entrusted me with a seat
on your Township
Council. It is an honour to serve as the youngest Councillor
in the history of our community. I'm enjoying the work, and am learning
more and more about the role every week. We face a number of significant
challenges, but there are exciting things on the horizon in Langley Township!
My guiding principles on Council:
- restore proper priorities in government spending and keep taxes low
-- by first building the infrastructure needed to keep Langley safe and
healthy
- make Langley the most wheelchair-friendly community in Canada
- Protect Langley heritage while improving services in every neighbourhood
- Protect Langley's unique environmental features and rural atmosphere
through well-planned, carefully thought-out growth
- strengthen Langley Township communities through better communication
with neighbours and stakeholders
- draft a 'new deal' with Langley City, ensuring Township interests are
put first and foremost
