As a former newspaper reporter, Jordan believes strongly in open, continuous communication between government and citizens. To that end, Jordan has posted thousands of articles, opinions and links at LangleyPolitics.com throughout his three years on Township Council. He has also pioneered the use of Internet tools like Facebook, Twitter, and Slideshare here in Langley.

Jordan is an approachable, accountable Councillor, giving voters hundreds of updates through his website, and reading thousands of your comments, e-mails and letters. He has built strong working relationships with residents, business owners, elected colleagues, Township staff, and other governments.

Staying in touch with the people he serves takes a lot of time and effort, but it is well worth it. If there is an issue you would like Jordan to address—or an idea about the Township of Langley you would like to share—please click here and visit our Contact page. There, you will find a contact form, as well as links to Jordan's Facebook and Twitter sites, and his e-mail address.

Jordan has used another website, www.langley2020.com, to bring forward longer-term ideas for the Township of Langley. A couple of highlights from that site can be found below.

The 200th Streetcar Light Rail Project

Jordan has proposed that a light rail streetcar train be introduced along 200th Street to serve the tens of thousands of Langley residents who live along or near that corridor in Walnut Grove, Willoughby, Willowbrook, and Brookswood-Fernridge. The 200th train could connect with a revived Interurban light rail line in Willowbrook, and would transform 200th from becoming a corridor of strip malls to transit-oriented developments and urban villages.

Drug Endangered Children

Jordan has been trying to bring public attention to the plight of children endangered by their drug-using parents. He has been working to help the BC Association of Social Workers lobby the provincial government for a clear, BC-wide protocol on how drug-endangered kids should be treated. There are horrifying health and social concerns surrounding these kids, and they need our help.
